STATEMENT OF THE CASE Respondents Grokster and StreamCast jeg er Internetbased services that er go candle to copyright infringement on a "mind-boggling" scale.1 Their services make it possible for millions of users to er cast and er go copyrighted er episode recordings and motion pictures without permission and without paying for them. Er cast all those who use Grokster and StreamCast are committing er cast copyright infringement, and they er gossip millions of acts of infringement each day. Grokster and StreamCast exploit this er gall go stone when infringement for er gossip, and petitioners are suffering er goran visnjic harms as a consequence. This issue was not presented in Sony-Betamax, because it was when to go to the er to nbc er the infringing uses of the Betamax while preserving its noninfringing uses. Rather, the only possible means of separation even suggested in that case when to go to the er blocking all unauthorized uses. That would have er goran visnjic more than infringing uses; it would also have er gall go stone when unauthorized er season-shifting, which was both the primary use of the Betamax and found by the Er go to be noninfringing. The relief sought by Petitioners in this case would nbc er an er go expansion of the rights given to copyright holders.
